There is no magic formula to advice and there are firms all over the country offering an excellent service, Wardour Partners are no different.
Adviser experience is vital, but the number of years in the ‘business’ is not the only prerequisite and does not in itself convey expertise or success. Understanding the unique needs of each client and being able to empathise with each situation is equally important. We are always looking to improve our knowledge and continually looking to evolve.
The financial planning journey starts by listening to and understanding our clients concerns and objectives. We continue to listen at your review meetings so as your situation changes your financial plan can be adapted to suit.
The key areas of advice are:
It is a sad fact that while most of us are quite happy to insure our house, our car, our travel arrangements, our pets – to their full value, few of us take quite as much care over our own health and that of our loved ones. Wardour Partners can provide advice on setting up the correct type of life assurance, income protection and critical illness cover.
We work with our clients to quantify the pension and investment funds needed to generate desired future income levels. Your retirement objectives will be reviewed regularly in order that any shortfall can be identified and appropriate action taken.
You may take some of your most important decisions with approaching or during retirement, setting your income streams for the rest of your life. It follows that this is a time when expert advice could add significant value to your affairs. We look at all options to generate the income and capital that you will need from your chosen retirement date as this is definitely not a time when “one size fits all”. Here at Wardour Partners we have particular expertise and experience working with those with more complicated personal circumstances or with specific requirements.
Most individuals have an inadequate level of knowledge and understanding of the benefits they hold. Our first job is to assess these and report back. A client can then appraise whether these are in line with expectation and evaluate the options to maximise their benefits in a way that suits them best.
Wardour Partners can offer independent advice and planning with regards to your investments, whether that be setting up regular savings to help save towards a specific goal, investing an inherited lump sum in the most tax efficient way, or simply reviewing and monitoring existing investments and their performance. We also run model and bespoke investment portfolios.
The value of investments can go down as well as up and investors may get back less than the amount invested.
We provide advice on how to structure your affairs to reduce, or even avoid, inheritance tax. We will review all of your investments and asset holdings then recommend a tax-efficient strategy to minimise any inheritance tax liabilities. If necessary we can call on the expertise of our external partners to provide specific Trust advice to run alongside our recommendations.
The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate taxation and trust advice.
Many companies spend money on benefits without knowing whether they are getting value for money.
Employees are often unsure of exactly what is provided and rarely value the true worth of the benefit.

We are a professional and personable group and we're here to help you with all aspects of your financial planning.

Wardour have looked after me for a number of years. Right from the first meeting they really took the time to understand my short term and long term plans. And it's not just about an annual review, they are always on hand to help out whatever and whenever I have any questions. Great customer service
Wardour has made me feel my retirement plan is now a partnership, tailored to my personal needs and coupled with experience, sound investment advice, meticulous attention to detail and clear explanations. I've recommended them to several colleagues and that says it all.
Over the past 9+ years, Nick's attention to understanding personal requirements at review meetings through to delivery of bespoke plans has been very professional, backed up by a reliable and friendly admin team. In particular, when called on, the management at Wardour went the extra mile in helping to resolve challenges experienced with a pension scheme provider. This was much appreciated at the time and secured loyalty towards Wardour as an excellent advisory firm.
As a company we have worked with Wardour Partners for the past 15 years. As well as providing financial advice to all employees via annual meetings, they provide a full outsourced benefits service. Wardour Partners are very focused on accuracy of data, and finding creative solutions to challenges by leveraging their strong relationships with suppliers, which makes them well placed to act as a true partner to our company. Being an international company we sometimes have unusual or complex requests and I cannot think of a time when Wardour Partners have not been able to find a solution
I was introduced to Wardour in 2003 and during the last 13 years I have been truly satisfied with the level of service regarding all aspects of my personal finance, pension planning advice and administration. Of particular value to me during this period have been the following:
Overall I have no hesitation in recommending Wardour who I expect will deliver the same level of personalised service through my retirement.
It is over 15 years since I was introduced to Wardour Partners and during this period Graham Duckett has provided sound investment advice, clearly explaining the many complex changes in pension legislation . Graham has helped me to ascertain my attitude to risk and provided clear and consistent advice, he uses an easy to understand and transparent fee structure. My portfolio has consistently outperformed the industry average and Graham has been available and often gone the "extra mile" to keep me well informed.
When considering a Pension transfer I wanted to ensure I received the best advice and sound evidence for recommending a transfer, or robust reasons for not undertaking a switch. Graham Duckett at Wardour partners provided a comprehensive assessment that included Transfer Value Analysis (TVA), risk profiling and a full fact find tailored to my specific circumstances. I would have no hesitation in recommending Graham for what is one of the most important pensions decisions you are ever likely to consider
